Dottore in diritto, era avvocato alla Corte d'appello di Bruxelles nonché amministratore della Compagnie des chemins de fer des Bassins houillers du Hainaut. Nel 1873 fu tra i fondatori della Société industrielle du Grand-Duché du Luxembourg (cfr. "Memorial du Grand-Duché du Luxembourg". n. 26 (14 ott 1873)).
